Regretful

Ahhh my second piece in just a matter of weeks! Truly astonishing for my record of being absent for 2 years.

Anyway...much inspired again by a beautiful photograph so I cannot take credit for the inspiration or original concept. But of course, my work is in no way an exact replica. I just don't have that kind of skill.

I was practicing a painted look with purposeful stroke lines etc again. One day I may improve to have those stunning airbrush quality pieces that so many brilliant DA artists have. But for someone like me, that kind of skill takes practice and I so often have such little patience with it. Still, I am indeed trying to improve. I do need reference materials though.

This piece took me 3 hours. I am sure if I spent more time it wouldn't look so rough and I could have improved on some areas but it's really just a study and practice so at this point I am not pushing myself to get it perfect. My last work was also monotone but more black & grey instead of white & grey. Let me tell ya, platinum blonde hair is not easy to do when you don't know how to really do it! It took a long time for me to be happy with the results.
