So after 2011 being the cancer year and 2012 being the recovery year....2013 became the improvement year.  And it was a pretty decent success as far as my main goal was concerned.  With some helpful support from co-workers and friends; with visits to a Weight Loss surgeon (just to find out what it's about and have someone be on my side); and regular 6 week follow ups with my GP; I have successfully lost 104 lbs in 1 year.  Oh yes, I also use MyFitness Pal to track my calories and exercise -- HUGE help and it's free. 2011 was a horrible year having been diagnosed with endometrial cancer.  Surgery was completed on Jan 18, 2012 to remove all my internal bits n pieces so now I am hollow like a chocolate Easter bunny.  So far no radiation was required because all things were as low as possible with the exclusion of the very large tumor size.  Onco's were all happy so we carry on.  I am feeling pretty good although being back to work full time for 3 months now with some weekend work too is starting to tire me out.  Must get more rest soon. 2012 not shaping up to be any better than last year but for more financial, emotional, and some work turbulence.  At work

So another year has passed since I last made an entry.  And a hell of a lot happened last year too.  None of which was good.  The lesson I have learned is that when you think things couldn't possibly get any worse, they CAN and DO.  I was on the side of kissing 2011 good-fucking-bye.  What a shit year.  And if you wonder what could possibly be so bad?  Well a series of illnesses and tests resulted in cancer and a hysterectomy to remove it is slated for next Wed, Jan 18th.  So, 2011 goes down as the worst year of my life.
